TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Singapore Tourism Board (“STB”) will run a contest called ‘Win a Romantic Getaway’ (“Contest”) on the STB’s YourSingapore Facebook page (the “Facebook Page”) as part of an initiative to thank all fans of the Facebook Page.

This Contest will run from 00:00:01 (+8 GMT) on the 21st of June 2011 to 23:59:59 (+8 GMT) on the 18th of July 2011 (“Contest Period”) and the selected winners will receive the prizes stated below.

All visitors to the Facebook Page who participate in the Contest by uploading their entries on the Facebook Page hereby agree with the terms & conditions as mentioned below and undertake to abide by the same unconditionally.

  1. PRIZE
    1. Two (2) winners (“Winners”) and (“Runner up”) will be selected by the STB in its sole discretion. The winner of this Contest will win the following:

      3D2N Deluxe Room stay at Naumi Hotel + S$100 Rang Mahal Dining vouchers

      And the runner up of this contest will win the following:

      2D1N Deluxe Room stay at Naumi Hotel + S$100 Rang Mahal Pavillion Dining vouchers
    2. All prizes, hotel stay and dinning vouchers, must be redeemed by the Winners by the 31st of December
    3. Accommodation will be provided at Deluxe room at Naumi Hotel. No requests for upgrades will be entertained, unless such decision is made at the discretion of Naumi Hotel.
    4. Cost of any extension of stay in Singapore must be borne by the winner.
    5. All prizes are not exchangeable for cash or items of the same value.
    6. All prizes are not transferrable and must be redeemed by the contest participant who submitted the winning entry and the travel companion selected in his/her winning entry
    7. It is the responsibility of the Winners to ensure that they have a valid travel visa for entry into Singapore. Winners and their travelling companions will have to bear the cost of their own travel visas.
    8. Prizes not claimed by the Winners by 31st December, 2011 will be forfeited.
    9. The Prizes will be subject to such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the [contributors/sponsors of the Prizes (Naumi Hotel and Rang Mahal) from time to time.
    10. The Winners will be chosen at the sole discretion of the SingaporeTourism Board, in a fair and non-biased manner.
    11. Singapore Tourism Board’s decision in all disputes will be final.
  2. PARTICIPATION
    1. The Contest is open to all fans who have visited and ‘Liked’ the Facebook Page except for the following (“Participants”):
      1. All STB employees (i.e. employees of STB), the Directors, distributors, channel partners, or their family members, or any other person likewise directly related to STB or this promotional event,
      2. ii. Representatives and/or agents (including advertising & promotion) of STB
    2. STB may in its sole discretion determine that any visitor-participant is ineligible for the Contest, by virtue of this paragraph. Such decision of the STB shall be final and binding.
  3. CONTEST PERIOD
    1. The Contest Period shall be from from 00:00:01 (+8 GMT) on the 21st of June 2011 to 23:59:59 (+8 GMT) on the 18th of July 2011 (“Contest Period”)
    2. Winners of the Contest will be announced on the YourSingapore Facebook Page and via the @visitsingapore account on Twitter.
HOW TO QUALIFY
  1. To qualify for the Contest, the Participants will have to do the following:
    1. Submit their entries on the Facebook Page, and their entries shall include the following (“Entry” or “Entries”):
      1. 1 x selected postcard (from choice of 8 provided)
      2. 1 x friend selected
      3. 1 x personalised romantic message (in 50 words (or 300 characters) or less)
    2. Each Participant may submit as many entries as he/she wishes, at a maximum of 30 entries a day.
    3. Participants who submit incomplete Entries or use abusive language in their Entries shall be disqualified from the Contest. STB may in its sole discretion disqualify Entries on this basis.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  1. STB reserves the right to amend or substitute the prizes offered as part of the Contest at any time without prior notification to the Participants.
  2. STB shall have the right to amend the terms and conditions of this Contest, and is entitled to withdraw this Contest at any time at its discretion, without any reason whatsoever. For the avoidance of doubt, Participants shall not be entitled to any damages or compensation whatsoever or howsoever arising as a result of such amendment or cancellation.
  3. Winners will be chosen by STB, and the prize(s) each Winner receives shall be in the sole discretion of STB. In the event the Winner is a resident of Singapore, such prize(s) that such Winner shall receive shall be decided in the sole discretion of STB.
  4. STB shall not be responsible for any loss or damage that occurs to the Participants or any of their designated nominee(s) owing to their participation in this Contest.
  5. The Participant warrants that he/she understands all the terms and condition of this Contest and has entered this Contest voluntarily and of his/her own free will.
  6. The Participant warrants that all information submitted by him/her in the Entry is true, current and complete. The Participants acknowledge and agree that their names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail IDs and/or photographs may be used by STB for sending out commercial information and/or for other commercial, publicity or promotional purposes.
  7. STB may in its own discretion reject any Entry(ies) and no objection in this regard shall be entertained. STB may reject any Entry(ies) on any basis including, but not limited to, lack of complete address, or phone number, or other modes of communication, and failure to comply with the terms and conditions stated herein.
  8. In the event that a Winner is not contactable, or a Winner rejects or returns his/her prize for any reason whatsoever, STB shall be entitled at their sole discretion to give the prize to the next available Winner.
  9. STB offers no guarantee or warranty in relation to the Participants’ opportunity to win prizes in this Contest.
  10. All decisions of STB in relation to the Contest shall be final and binding upon the Participants and no correspondence or objection shall be entertained in this regard.
  11. STB offers no guarantee or warranty in relation to the prizes.
  12. By participating in this Contest, the Participant consents to STB’s online privacy policy.
  13. The Contest and all the terms and conditions governing the same shall be subject to the laws of Singapore.
  14. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Contest shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.
  15. STB shall not be liable for any failure to perform any or all of its obligations hereunder which are due to, or are attributable to, acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond the reasonable control of STB, including acts of God, fires, lockouts, strikes or other official labor disputes, union problems, riots or civil commotions, national emergencies, terrorism, satellite failure, failure of technical facilities not within the reasonable control of STB, acts of public enemy, enactments, rules or orders or acts of government, and/or such acts or events being deemed an event of force majeure.
  16. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to STB and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for by STB for sending out commercial information and/or for other commercial, publicity or promotional purposes.
